Louise Taylor on Gateshead, alcoholism and ‘working men’

“More destructively this heritage dictates he has grown up in Gateshead surrounded by a frequently heavy drinking, “working man’s” culture which, sometimes, sees arguments resolved by fists rather than reason.”

Should add I’m similarly tired of reactionary extremes – Carlton Cole and Zamora are thrown on the slag heap after being hailed last year as, on the basis of one game (because you know they weren’t watching the Championship last year), Carrol is declared as the future of England. One fucking game.

If he loses form for a stretch (which is fairly likely) he will no doubt be pilloried so that the whole sorry cycle can start again . . . Darren Bent must be pissed

Louise Taylor doesn’t know her arse from her elbow.

She recently claimed that Joey Barton “appeared to celebrate with a Nazi-style salute” after scoring againt Villa. Now I’m all for criticising Barton for his previous crimes, but this was just ridiculous sensationalism.

I’d already died of cringitis before the main ‘meat’ of her article. Where the HELL did all that nonsense about the “olive-skinned” Carroll come from? He’s so pale you can see his organs.
